Many records from the 90’s / 2000’s often have vocals or sections that make them less suitable for DJ sets, which has led to DJs creating edits to remove or alter these elements. 

This course therefore walks through the complete process of editing tracks in Ableton.

• How to remove vocals from a track

• How to remove certain sections

• How to re-arrange the track to give it a more club-ready progression

• How to extend a track that is too short

• How to add your own elements

What is required:

• Ableton Live (The basic version is suitable. A free trail can also be downloaded on the Ableton website)
